Burton Closson tells us that his granddaughter, Laura Dean Grimaldi ’04, and her husband, Carmine Grimaldi ’04, had a son, born on October 25. His name is Nicolas “Nico” Closson Grimaldi. Grandparents are Paul Dean ’75 and Lucy Dean ’75. Nico and his parents came to Cincinnati to have dinner with his great-grandparents, then headed off to Buffalo the next day, then Vermont, and then Switzerland for Christmas. Even babies have to have passports now!

Nancy Hoppin shares the sad news that her husband of 39 years, Charlie Hoppin, died on December 18. A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held on May 7 in New York City at All Soul’s Church on Lexington Avenue, between 80th and 81st Streets at 4:30 p.m. A reception will follow at the Knickerbocker Club. Charlie loved Evensong, and this service will include some of the music that his brother, Fred Hoppin ’52, remembers Charlie loved.
